Testing the Lanes with Bike Law

The bike infrastructure in Atlanta has grown by leaps and bounds over the years and with every mile of new bike lane and path added the city becomes safer for cyclists. Yet problems still remain, even with our newest infrastructure projects.

For the 2026 Festival Bruce Hagen of Bike Law GA invites you out to the Memorial Drive cycle track for an in depth look and open air discussion about the issues surrounding this bike lane. This is an event not intended to just criticize but instead improve upon useful infrastructure and remind us that we are our own best advocates for better and safer paths.

Through multiple stops along the route, we will discuss the issues that cyclists, pedestrians, and drivers face as the all attempt to navigate it safely.

This event will end at DAS BBQ with a beer ticket!

Some topics of discussion while along the cycle track

  • Accessibility onto the cycle track

  • Drivers’ interpretation of cyclists behavior and intent

  • How Cyclists navigate issues such as end of infrastructure and intersections along the cycle track

  • Cycle Track signage
