Intown Single Track

In 1993 jazz legend Lionel Hampton donated much of the right of way that makes the Lionel Hampton-Beecher Nature Preserve possible. Through this beautiful oasis in the city lies the first trail the PATH foundation made. Though as beautiful as that path is, we won’t be doing that. That’s because off the path, in the woods are amazing trails that have been created and maintained by amazing member of the cycling community for all to enjoy whether you’re on a bike or not. That’s where we will be riding, so join us for this beautiful offroad adventure through a piece of Atlanta nature.

Pro Tip: Do this route on a Sunday then end up at ASW for some Sunday Jazz at 3 to cap it off.

This will be a no drop ride, but some experience riding offroad is advisable. While this is not a very technical route, but there will be more single track than gravel. If you’re new to gravel ride/mountain biking, this ride is great, but take it an easy pace. You can ride it on either a gravel bike or mountain bike and if you are not tubeless, please just bring a couple of extra tubes. Plenty of areas to get a pinch flat.
