ATL DOT and Propel ATL present Atlanta Streets Alive on Sunday, May 18 from 2pm until 6pm, Transforming our streets into living public spaces and connecting 7 Southwest neighborhoods via Ralph David Abernathy Blvd and Georgia Ave.
Atlanta Streets Alive opens streets for people by taking cars out of the equation for an afternoon to create a whole new healthy, sustainable and vibrant city street experience. Atlanta Streets Alive is a program inspired by open streets projects all over the world. Bring your bicycle or just your feet and get ready to explore your community streets in a safer, healthier, more livable way.
Enjoy miles of car free fun starting on Georgia Avenue at Grant Park and rolling onto Ralph David Abernathy up to Gordon White Park near Cascade. There will be vendors, music, games, and loads of fun.
Make it more fun by joining the Atlanta Cycling Festival’s Scavenger Spin which incorporates the route and adjoining neighborhoods in a fun and challenging scavenger hunt!
