Tbd Ride
Type Meet at Skill Level
Advocacy, Ride East Lake MARTA, North Parking Lot Easy

Description

ACF is proud to advocate and promote safe cycling and transit for all. Come join ACF for Take Back DeKalb's next ride. This is an inclusive, no drop ride for all. We will ride slowly and legally two abreast in the right lane.

Many of us who have rode/driven/walked on or beside Dekalb Avenue know how dangerous a street it is. Atlanta Voters overwhelmingly supported planned improvements such as bike infrastructure, better sidewalks, and better road design, the plan was to make it safer for all people no matter how many wheels or feet they traveled on. Though prioritized by the public, Atlanta City council re-prioritized funding without fully funding the planned and supported improvements.

At the Atlanta Cycling Festival, we believe in the importance of safer mobility for all travelers on or beside our roads, and with whatever vehicle. Bicycle infrastructure does not only benefit the rider, but the car commuter as well.

Join us to experience the street as it exists today and push for change that will benefit all of Atlanta!
