We're proud to host the first ever Pedal, Pint & Paddle To The REI Boathouse!

Imagine a day of biking, ice-cold Eventide Beer and an afternoon on the water (#SUPlife)! We'll have food, music and all sorts of awesome bike vendors. What better way to enjoy your Sunday?

Sunday, May 20th, 10am, meeting at the Inman Park MARTA Station

The Experience:

  1. Guided bike ride to the REI Boathouse in Stone Mountain, GA
  2. Food, beer and time on the water -Try a stand-up paddleboard, kayak, canoe or pedal boat
  3. Access to the Boathouse Shindig, featuring:

Pedal Pint & Paddle Tickets

Ticket sales end Saturday, May 19th, 8am. Day of tickets available: Show up at 8am Sunday, May 20th, at Inman Park Station to purchase in person. 

Day Of Details (Sunday, May 20th):

  • 8am-9am: Check-in at the Inman Park-Reynoldstown MARTA Station
  • 9am: Announcements and then pedal out to the REI Boathouse in Stone Mountain, GA (~17 miles)
  • Waves To Stone Mountain: ~40 people per wave
    • Easy Rider Wave (~6-8mph) - 9:10am
    • Semi-Easy Rider Wave (~8-10mph) - 9:20am
    • Medium Wave #1 (~10-12mph) - 9:30am
    • Medium Wave #2 (~10-12mph) - 9:40am
    • Fast Wave #1 (+13mph!) - 9:50am
    • Fast Wave #2 (+13mph!) - 9:50am
  • 11:30am-12pm: Arrive at the Boathouse Shindig
    • Lunch, beer, demos and more!
  • 3:30pm: Start packing up and pedal back to Atlanta (~17 miles)
    • We will return in the same wave order/selection
    • Optional stop at Avondale Station (cuts out 7 miles on the return home)

This is a fundraiser for the Atlanta Cycling Festival. Proceeds from the event go directly towards making the festival possible.

NOTE: This is not a closed route event. There will be portions where you will be on active roads. The ride will abide by the rules of the road (Stop at stop signs, traffic signals, etc.). 

HEALTH NOTICE: This is a 34 mile round-trip bike ride. You need to be comfortable with riding for 2 hours straight, well hydrated and able to ride a few big hills. This is not a beginner ride. 

THINGS TO BRING:

  • Extra bike tubes (You will be responsible for tubes if you have a flat tire)
  • Plenty of water
  • Snacks
  • Sunscreen
  • ID + wallet

Rain or shine event. Due to having to bulk purchase food/beer, there are no refunds. Participants will be required to sign a waiver.
