Description

Please note this is not a group ride and the starting time is only due to the website requiring one. In an effort to keep people safe there are no group rides during the Virtual Festival

Healthcare workers all over America and the world are nothing short of heroes right now. They are among those at the forefront of fighting this pandemic and there really isn't enough we can do to thank them.

This route takes you past all the hospitals within the Perimeter! This is a challenging ride over some pretty tough streets. It covers all the ITP general and childrens' hospitals, from downtown, to Pill Hill, out east to Emory and Decatur, and then south to Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center South. Stop at one or all to get a pic and tag with #ACF2020 #HealthcareHeroes.

Three ways to participate:

  • Ride the route, take a pic/video in front of a hospital and post. #ACF2020 #ACFVirtualFest #HealthcareHeroes, @atlcyclingfest, FB.
  • Post. Take a pic/video and post from wherever you would like - Kroger Pickup? Delivery Driver's truck? Your couch? ALL GOOD! #ACF2020 #ACFVirtualFest #HealthcareHeroes, @atlcyclingfest, FB.
  • Give. If possible, consider donating to Direct Relief | Relief Done Right "Organization Mission: Help people whose lives are threatened by disaster, disease, or poverty — in the U.S. and internationally — without regard to politics, religion, or ability to pay." They are active in Georgia.

SPECIAL COMMEMORATIVE PRIZE: Riders who complete the entire ride AND post messages of thanks at EVERY hospital are eligible to win one of two 64oz Eventide Growlers (filled!), an exclusive ACF Cycling Cap and other swag! Share the link to your ride record (Strava/Garmin/etc.) to Social Media @atlcyclingfest or directly to ops@atlantayclingfestival.com by SUN, May 17th 8:30pm. 2 growlers = 2 winners!

All riders and posters will be entered into drawing for fabulous ACF swag and other prizes.

Please Note: This is a difficult ride with a lot of hills and on some difficult streets, please be aware of your own abilities and ride safely!

The hospitals: The hospitals: Grady, Childrens Hughes Spalding, Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center, Emory Midtown, Piedmont, Childrens Scottish Rite, Northside, Emory St. Joseph's, Emory, Childrens Egleston, Emory Decatur, Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center South.
