A ride and discussion about how climate change affects Atlanta...Led by Henry Slack
Atlanta will have the climate of Mobile, Florida in 60 years unless we take action. That's right, our climate is going south, and we will be along for the ride unless we cut back strongly on fossil fuels. Maybe we can ride our bikes everywhere? On global warming, experts agree that it's real, it's us, and it's bad, but we still have hope if we change.
The ride will make four stops intown to look at our fair city and talk about how climate change will affect Atlanta's trees, our health, our energy use, and our housing (as climate refugees move here).
Helmets and bicycles with lights are required. 6:15p gather at Ration & Dram, 6:30 departure. Return by 8:30pm. This is a no drop ride of medium difficulty.
We'll ride as a group and be back by 8:30. (Yes, we will ride in light rain, but we're not leaving in a thunderstorm.)
After, or before, join ACF at our partner bar - Ration & Dram!
