FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ATLANTA CYCLING FESTIVAL IS INTRODUCING THE FIRST EVER, VIRTUAL FEST!
Beginning Saturday, May 9 to Friday, May 15, we will release a few routes each day that we encourage everyone to ride solo, socially-distanced, and safely!
The Atlanta Cycling Festival (ACF) -A week of bike rides, bicycle-related classes, bike parties, and bike fun. Proudly made in Atlanta, GA.
Atlanta, GA ‐‐The Atlanta Cycling Festival has been exploring Atlanta by bike, now 7 years in a row. This free, week-long bicycle Festival has now gone virtual!
Though we can't be together as we would like, we've had some time to think through and re-think the approach to "bringing folks together," yet remaining mindful of everyone's health and safety. Inspired by you, and lots of good people's great ideas, we're launching the ACF Virtual Festival to show what's possible, right here in Atlanta!
WHAT"S AHEAD: We have compiled rides for every type of rider: long, challenging, hilly rides; fun family scavenger hunts; rides including beautiful public art pieces; and even a "lit" Atlanta after hours ride ("lit"). There’s something for everyone to enjoy!
DETAILS: We will post each day’s routes in the EVENTS section of our website and on our social media platforms.
CAUTION: Always practice safe cycling, beware of other riders, walkers, and drivers. Most routes have portions on city streets open to regular traffic.
ABSOLUTES: Masks, Social Distancing, and other recommended public health and safety measures. Ride solo or only with those with whom you have been in contact (same shelter-in-place location). These are NOT group rides.
MORE FUN: After enjoying your ride, consider stopping by for some to-go orders from our partners and nearby local VIRTUAL FESTIVAL establishments!
